Archery Level 1 Training

Archery Level 1 Instructor Training Course-Hybrid 

This is the USAA (United States Archery Association Course) to be able to teach the BSA Archery merit badge. 

This course is for individuals wanting to become certified as a Level 1 Instructor. This is NOT for RECERTIFICATION. Online training is to be completed online and the practical portion will be completed online and at Camp Benjamin Hawkins.

The USA Archery Level 1 Instructor certification course provides graduates the necessary tools to maintain a high level of safety both on and off the archery?range for camps and beginner archery programs. To successfully complete the requirements for this certification, students must successfully pass the USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Certification online course, including the online exam and register for and complete the "in-person" USA Archery Level 1 Instructor practical course to officially receive a USA Archery Level 1 Instructor certificate of completion. 

The USA Archery Level 1 Instructor will learn about range safety, range setup, the steps of shooting, equipment and repair, programs and lesson plans and is well prepared to teach beginner archery programs to people of all ages and abilities in a variety of?disciplines. This online courses is self-paced and will take approximately 3 hours to complete.

 

Certification Requirements 

• Online Course Cost: $40 (plus sales tax as applicable by state) 

• Practical Course Length: 4 Hours 

• Practical Course Cost: $10 

• Certification Period: Three years from the date of the course completion 

 

To Complete ONLINE Registration: 

• Please follow these steps to take the online Level 1 course: 

• go to?https://usarchery.sport80.com/login 

• Create a FREE account(Watch this video on How to Create a Free Account) 

• While logged in, click "Courses" on the left 

• In the course search, type in 38360 and search for that event 

• Select “Enter” and then “Next” 

• Click "Add New Entry” 

• Select Add to the right of your name 

• Follow the prompts to check out 

That will empty your cart and you may see “Complete” to the right of your name. After that you will access the course and will need to complete the online course prior to the practical course. Determine if you are in the full screen view or minimized mobile view. If you are in the full screen view, you will see a column of options on the left. If your screen is minimize, on a tablet or mobile device you will see the mobile view.

• Click “Members” top left 

• Click anywhere on your member box that pops up to the right. 

• Scroll down the secondary column under your name and select "Access USA Archery Education Hub” 

• This will take you directly to the course.

• Click "View" on your member box 

• Click "Profile" at the top 

• Scroll down the secondary menu on the left and select “Access USA Archery Education Hub” 

• The course is self-paced, you can start, stop and continue where you left off anytime. 

• To access the course again, login to your account at https://usarchery.sport80.com/login, and follow the instructions above.
